Yes, I have become one of those people that posts 30 day challenges on social media. I hope to bring new challenges every month going forward on the site.
But as I have said countless times, I only like to share with you things that I have tried and/or did some research. This month’s challenge is something I tried last month.
It is a 30 day abs and squats challenge. As I reported a couple of weeks ago, squats and leg workouts are a great way to burn fat, especially in the mid section.
Over the next 30 days the challenge will take you through three workouts that will focus on your abdominals and your legs/butt. It will include a full sit up, a crunch and squats. If you are someone that works out regularly, you can double up on the challenge or add weights for the squats portion.
The 30 day challenge is great but it isn’t a miracle worker either. If you want to see real results, as always, you will have to also change your diet. Sugar and overly processed foods will prevent you from seeing the abdominal results you want to see. So try your best and limit them. Luckily, there aren’t any major holidays this month, so not as many temptations.
As always, I have to remind you the importance of stretching. It will help with your progress and to prevent injury. Yes, I hate it too but it will definitely help with your abs and legs on Days 28, 29 and 30. Ideally, for the abs you can do the Cobra yoga technique and downward dog for your legs in addition to many other stretches.
