Pink has been having a great year so far. Well, we must admit she has been having a great few years.
With a bunch of hits under her belt and a high grossing world tour, Pink has set herself up for one of the best years in her career so far.
Now the “Truth About Love” singer has confirmed that she has signed a new deal with her current record label, RCA records.
They have not revealed the specific amount of money she has signed on for or the amount of albums. But we are pretty sure that RCA paid a pretty penny to keep Pink on the label. She has several hit singles, platinum album and high grossing tour.
According to FMQB:
“I am super duper excited to continue onwards and upwards with RCA and my team there,” the singer/songwriter commented. “We work really well together and they care in a way that artists don’t get to see very often anymore. I look forward to whatever the future holds for us and am so beyond thrilled with how much they believe in me. Woo-hoo rock & roll!”
RCA CEO Peter Edge stated, “We couldn’t be more proud to have P!nk continue her relationship with RCA. She is a one-of-a kind artist who continues to raise the stakes of her own artistry with her inspiring songs and sky’s the limit live performances. We look forward to an incredible future ahead.”
RCA President and COO Tom Corson added, “P!nk is in a league all her own and we are thrilled she will continue to be a member of the RCA family. There is no question she has upped the ante on what it takes to remain on top of the global stage.”
P!nk’s manager, Roger Davies, commented: “I’m very happy that we are continuing our excellent relationship with Pete, Tom, Joe and the entire RCA Team. Our long standing relationship has made them part of our family. They really understand how we work and we are looking forward to working with them in the future.”
I wonder if Kelly Clarkson will re-sign with RCA despite all the beef with one of the head honchos, Clive Davis. But at this point in Kelly and Pink’s careers, they are able to get better deals than most. Congrats to Pink! We are looking forward to more music magic from her and RCA. I just wish RCA invested as much time and effort into some of their R&B acts (Jazmine Sullivan, Marsha Ambrosius, Brandy, Monica).
