TLC may a huge comeback this week with their VH1 biopic movie “Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story” that broke records in ratings. Now, after the release of their greatest hits compilation, “20” (that features new song “Meant To Be”), the girls are preparing for their brand new material in 2014 with a new album.
Although not much is known so far, one song that fans are quite aware of is “Posh Life” that is supposedly going to feature Lady Gaga. Speaking with Rap-Up TV, T-Boz and Chilli talk about how the record was originally Gaga’s, who hooked up with producer Dallas Austin to create a song that was “formatted just like TLC” with the low and high parts the women are iconic for. In the end, the good song was left out from “ARTPOP” because it was “too TLC” and the “Applause” singer didn’t wanna offend the singers because she was just a big fan and had no idea how they would react.
Chilli assures us that neither of the two would have been offended, but nonetheless the girls went in the studio, heard the song, gave it a shot and recorded it and met Lady Gaga herself. But unfortunately T-Boz, whose daughter is a big Lady Gaga fan, said it will come down to the labels decision whether they let Lady Gaga appear on TLC’s version of “Posh Life” for their 2014 album.
